“…But when you pray, go into your [inner chamber] and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret.” Matthew 6:5-15
The name Chambers is derived from Matthew 6, where Jesus teaches us how to pray. Into an inner room, chamber, free from the public eye, is where He instructs us to go. Although God hears us in all places at all times, He was clear about the need to hide away with Him. Our hope is that an alivening to God's Presence would be produced in our students at Chambers, and that it would take them running home to meet with Him in their own inner chamber. It is in the quiet, alone, that the Lord bids us to come to our Father who is in secret, and sees in secret. This is where we learn to pray, by praying.
“...to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints together with all those who in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours…”" 1 Corinthians 1:2
We, as those called to be saints, come together to call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and sing praises to our God.
At Chambers, we pray that we would be a people who invite the Holy Spirit to dwell richly within us. Dwelling deeply within every chamber of our body to produce clearer and richer affections, thoughts, sight, and hearing.
The heart has four chambers that are responsible for the circulation of the blood throughout our body. They also deliver oxygen where it is needed, and remove carbon dioxide. These chambers keep us alive, acting as our engine.
The brain has four main ventricles, which are chambers filled with fluid. This fluid helps protect the brain, provides nutrients, and removes waste. These chambers play a crucial role in maintaining the brain's health and function.
The eye has several chambers filled with fluid which play an integral role in our vision. This fluid focuses light, keeps our eye from losing its shape, and regulates waste disposal. These chambers work together to ensure our vision is protected.
The ear has three main sections, each containing chambers, or spaces, that play important roles in processing sound and maintaining balance. These chambers are all vitally important in the way we hear and receive sound.
